Sometimes working hard is not as important as working efficiently is. It clearly means you need to make most of each day and try to complete the most important things first. The ability to divide tasks with others is also an important part of it.
It is not an impressive thing to the employer if you complete your 8-hours work in 10 hours. Time management is a very crucial thing to maximize efficiency.
