Search for the individual who created the listing
If you see the job on LinkedIn that means t is posted by the hiring manager or recruiter. Go thoroughly the post and look if it is specifically connected to any individual if it is then mentioning the name the cover letter to greet him/her.
Look for information about who the position reports to
If it is mentioned in the post that the position will report to the director of marketing but it does not include any specific name then search of that person’s name in LinkedIn for the current directors in the marketing department of the company.
